Ingredients

2 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
1 teaspoon salt
1 x black pepper
1 1/2 pounds beef chuck 1 inch cubes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 can soup, tomato
1 cup water
1/2 cup onion chopped
1/2 teaspoon basil dried
4 medium potatoes pared,cubed
4 medium carrots 1 inch pieces
1 medium onion quartered
1 cup wine burgundy

Directions

Combine flour, salt, pepper.

Coat meat and brown in hot oil in oven proof dish.

Add soup,water,onion(chopped) and basil.

Cover and bake in 375 degree F oven 1 hour.

Add vegetables and wine and cook, covered another hour or til done.

Veggies should be soft when pierced with fork.

Can serve over noodles or rice.
