| 1 | pound | beef roast, rump | trimmed |
| Marinade | |||
| 1 | cup | cilantro | finely chopped |
| 1 | tablespoon | ginger root | fresh, peeled, minced |
| 4 | cloves | garlic | minced |
| 4 | tablespoons | sesame oil | |
| 2 | tablespoons | hot chili sauce | |
| 2 | tablespoons | soy sauce | |
| 1 | tablespoon | rice vinegar | |
| 1 | whole | lime | juiced |
| 1 | pinch | sugar | optional |
| 8 | each | skewers | |
Cut beef into long strips, about 1/8 inch thick.
Mix remaining ingredients.
Add beef strips to bowl and marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Weave 1 or more strips of beef on each skewer.
Grill or broil, turning occasionally (2 to 3 minutes each side) or until desired doneness.
