Ingredients

4 cups flour, all-purpose
2 tablespoons lard yes, lard. shortening doesn't work as well
1/2 cup milk warm
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Mix all the dry ingredients and sift.

Mix in lard.

Add warm (not hot) milk gradually, knead til smooth.

Cut into pieces.

Roll out paper thin into round shape.

Cook on hot griddle until lightly browned and "spotted".
