Ingredients

1/2 pound pork sausage
1 small onion chopped
1/8 teaspoon garlic minced
1 1/2 cups ham cubed, cooked
1 each bay leaf
30 ounces navy beans
1/4 cup white wine dry
1 dash cloves ground
1/2 teaspoon parsley leaves dried

Directions

Cook sausage, onion and garlic until meat is lightly browned and onion is tender.

Drain off fat.

Add ham, parsley and bay leaf and mix well.

Stir in undrained beans, wine and cloves.

Turn into 1 1/2 quart casserole and bake, covered at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.

Uncover and bake 40 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.

Remove bay leaf and serve in bowls with hot corn bread.
