| 1 | pound | turkey sausage | links or roll |
| 1 | pound | pasta, ziti | |
| 1 | each | spaghetti sauce | jar |
| 1 | x | mozzarella cheese | shredded |
| 1 | each | onion | chopped (optional) |
| 1/2 | each | green bell pepper | chopped |
Cook turkey sausage until thoroughly cooked. Cut sausage into 1 inch pieces. Set aside. Prepare ziti according to package; drain and rinse. Place a small amount of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of your casserole dish. Add cooked ziti, sausage, onion and peppers. Pour remaining sauce into the casserole. Add mozzarella to the mixture and thoroughly blend all ingredients together. Top with more mozzarella. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until cheese is slightly melted and lightly browned. Serve with a nice green salad and bread.

Tasty, classic Salisbury recipe with the added ingredient of rice (makes the patty more tenderer). Side note I did not notice until I was half way in the recipe that I needed "cooked" rice. I accidently made 1/2 raw rice which expanded to about 1 c. Make sure to only add 1/2 c. "cooked" rice. I will definitely make this recipe again.!
