| 1 1/2 | pounds | ground pork | lean, coarse ground |
| 1 | cup | olive oil | or veg oil |
| 5 | medium | onions | coarsely chopped |
| 2 | cups | tomato juice | |
| 3 | cups | water | |
| 5 | tablespoons | chili powder | |
| 3 | tablespoons | cumin | ground |
| 3 | tablespoons | oregano | |
| 3 | tablespoons | cocoa powder | |
| 3 | tablespoons | cinnamon | |
| 2 | tablespoons | garlic | finely chopped |
| 3 | tablespoons | masa harina | |
| 2 | cups | pinto beans | rinsed and drained |
Cook meat about 20 minutes until they lose pink color but not browned. Transfer to a bowl.
Heat oil in same pan and sautée onions 10 to 20 minutes, until translucent.
Stir meat into onions. Add tomato juice, 3 cups of water, the chili powder, cumin, oregano, cocoa, cinnamon, and salt.
Blend.
Bring to boil, uncovered, for an hour.
Taste for seasoning, add more chili powder if you like.
Stir in the garlic, cornmeal, and beans.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve with garnishes.

This was a very good recipe!! It was really easy to make! I changed it a little bit by pouring spagetti sauce over the stuffed pepper and melted a thick layer of Provolone cheese on top. I put it over spagetti! Tasted GREAT!!!!!


A truly amazing combination of flavors. The dressing is divine, the warm and tart goat cheese combined with the sweetness of apple ring is truly out of this world.
