Caramel Pear Pudding Cake

Ingredients

1 cup flour, all-purpose
2/3 cup sugar white
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 dash cloves
1/2 cup milk
16 ounces pears drained and chopped
1/2 cup pecans chopped
3/4 cup brown sugar packed
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup water boiling
1 x ice cream or whipped cream

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, white sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and cloves.

Add milk; beat until smooth.

Stir in canned pears and pecans.

Turn into an ungreased 2 quart casserole.

In a separate bowl combine brown sugar, butter and boiling water; pour evenly over batter.

Bake in a 375 oven for 45 minutes.

Serve immediately with ice cream or whipped cream.
