Butternut Cake

Ingredients

2 sticks butter
3 cups flour, all-purpose sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 large eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
3 teaspoons butternut flavouring
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 ounces cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
2 teaspoons butternut flavouring
1 cup nuts chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans of butter.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Mix soda and salt into buttermilk until foamy.

Add alternately with flour.

Add 3 teaspoons flavoring.

Pour into prepared pans and bake until done, 20 to 25 minutes.

In a bowl, mix 3 teaspoons flavoring.

Add nuts.

Spread on cooled cake.

Swiss Steak (3 Versions, Stove Top, Crockpot, Oven)

I found this to be rather bland so I used a can of stewed tomatoes Italian blend. Even with this addition it still needs some more seasoning. I will add mushrooms next time. With a little practice this could be a winner!
